Adjustment…
So I adjusted my schedule tonight, 3 miles instead of 4.5. This isn’t cheating because a 3 mile run was on the schedule for tomorrow and so I swapped for the sake of my mind and body this evening. I felt as if I wasn’t “in the zone.” I know I might not be able to do this on race day, but I can for now:) Seriously though I couldn’t handle the run tonight.
Tonight I need to get some sound sleep and tomorrow evening I’ll hit the pavement. I did have a hard run tonight and I felt especially strong at the finish. This is a good sign, who would have ever thought I’d be so amped about a run, certainly not me.
The other adjustment I’ve made is in my elimination or severe cutback in two favorite things: sweets and wine! I’m looking forward to a nice pinot grigio when the race is done, but until then I’m limiting myself. However once a week I’m allowing for a little indulgence in both, I mean a girl has got to live a little.
Things are going well this week, I think because I’m looking ahead, but not focused solely on the overall goal, but rather embracing and celebrating each day. So I’ll keep running and you keep reading!

Great job Katie - you are getting stronger and I can tell from what you write you are becomming more in one with the running - you will finish the run well and feel very exhilarated! Keep up the good work.
